- Founded: Established in 1990.
- Students: Currently over 4000 students study at this University. Faculty of General Medicine for overseas students was established in year 2000 and its foreign student population at the moment consists of over 550 students from 30 different countries including Sri Lanka, India USA, France, India, Pakistan, Syria, Yemen, UK, Peru, etc.
- Library Collection: The library has a rich fund of educational, scientific, medical, industry and foreign literature. In order to provide users with advanced scientific and medical information, every six months a departmental subscription for 50 or more titles of scientific and practical and theoretical and theoretical journals of medical and related topics in Russia and Belarus is carried out. Also, library users are provided with access to world medical resources, electronic catalogs of other libraries through the Internet.
- Faculties, Departments and Institutes: Student training is carried out at 36 departments of the university in more than 75 disciplines, including additional training at elective courses.
- Recreation Facilities: University has a well-equipped Gymnasium and sporting facilities within walking distance from the hostel and university main building. Indoor badminton courts, football practicing facilities are some of the other facilities that university provides for students. Belarusian Universities provide great place for the students to relax and engage in outdoor sports and recreation activities during their free time.
- Hostels: The University houses all modern amenities for the students. Not only of the local students, is the university among the favorite universities for MBBS in Belarus for International students as well. The university houses hostels, canteens, sports complex, gym, library, swimming pool and other such facilities for the students.

He heads and organizes the work of the university, conducts state policy and exercises regulation and management in the field of education and health care.
The main tasks are: general management of the institution in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, ensuring systemic educational and scientific activities of the university, determining the strategy, goals and objectives of the development of the institution.
Editor-in-chief of the journal “Problems of Health and Ecology”, member of the editorial board of the journal Surgery News and Medical News, specialized Council for the award of scientific degrees, expert of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, chairman of the Belarusian Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Board Member of the Belarusian Association of Surgeons, Board Member of the Gomel Branch of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences, Member of the European Association of Surgeons.
He was awarded the mark “Excellence in Public Health of the USSR” and “Excellence in Public Health of the Republic of Belarus” The jubilee medal “90 years of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus”, the Order of Valor of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, the medal “For merits in the field of education” (Russian Federation), was a fellow of the President of the Republic of Belarus on the proposal of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus. More than 400 articles, 6 monographs and 6 inventions in the field of surgery’s Authors.
