Founded: Established in 1945.

Faculty: The university holds 443 teaching staff including 77 PhDs, 264 candidates for PhD, and 19 academics.

Students: More than 22000 students.

International Students: Around 5000 foreign students attend from all over the world, including the US, Western Europe, Australia, Africa, India and parts of Asia.

Library: About 500000 volumes.

Departments: The university contains 48 departments. The IFNMU Library received the prize (2nd-degree diploma) for “Library of the year 2009” in the All Ukrainian Contest.

Institutes: The university consists of 12 hospitals and clinics. It is one of the few universities designated as a “National Medical University” by the government of Ukraine. It is a member of the association of universities, the European association of universities, World Health Organization, and other international organizations.

Hospitals: 25 affiliated hospital.

Facilities: Sports centres.

Accommodation: 5 modern building (2 & 3 sharing rooms with fully furnished, cupboard, reading table, central heater, facility, gym, TV rooms, hostel security, cafeteria)

Mess: Indian mess available on campus.

The history of the development and the results of the scientific and educational activities of the Ivano Frankivsk National Medical University has confirmed that thanks to work of its teaching staff and employees the University has become one of the leading scientific and methodical centres for training of physicians, paediatricians, pharmaceutical chemists and stomatologists in Ukraine.
