Founded: Established in 1912.
Faculty: The school has good teaching conditions. 264 full-time faculties are engaged in teaching and research, among which 183 faculties are professors. There are all kinds of equipments, which can meet the teaching and research needs of basic medicine and clinical medicine.
Students: More than 2000 fulltime students are studying here, among which 240 are international students. NTU offers programs with rich opportunities for students at home and abroad to match their desire to develop intellectually and professionally.
Hospitals: Besides the Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University, outside the campus there are other 15 affiliated hospitals and 52 relevant hospitals which supply great support for the professional clinical teaching and students’ internship. At present there are more than 2000 patient beds in the hospital. Every year, more than one million patients ask for help and more than 24000 operations are carried out in the hospital.
Recreational Facilities: The school has 21 departments, among which 18 teaching and research sections are under the Department of Clinical Medicine and the Department of Medical Imaging. It has a Basic Medical Experimental Teaching Center composed of 5 laboratories and a Clinical Experimental Teaching Center composed of 3 laboratories. It also has a Basic Medical Research Center as well as 13 university level or school level research institutes.
The school has 6 undergraduate programs, which are clinical medicine, stomatology, medical imaging, medical information, rehabilitation medicine, and pharmacy.
